Stock Extra: Warehouses |
Top Previous Next |
Add a Warehouse.
Go to Stock Items > Extra > Warehouses
Hover the mouse over the different fields on the form. If the cursor changes to a hand () , click to get more information.
Create all your warehouses.
You must create a transit and pending warehouse.
Transit Warehouse: The purpose of using this is that you know at all times which stock items are in transit when sending stock to various branches (not located on the same premises).
Select a default transit warehouse in the Return to Supplier Options form.
Pending Warehouse
This option is if you do not want to process the RTS but only temporarily want to move the inventory to a Pending Warehouse and then revert it later without any journal entries being made while still keeping track of it via the RTS Lookup form. Example: wrongly delivered goods.
Regional Warehouse:
The prerequisite is that you must be on SI+ Version 3 so that all the branches are linked.
If you don't have any stock, you can reserve them at the regional warehouse.
Step 1: Create a regional warehouse.
Step 2: In the workshop options, tick the Use Regional Warehouse If No Local Stock checkbox.
Step 3. Link the warehouse in Company > Add or Edit Branches > Regional Warehouse
