Quote Security setup

The Quote module allows you to set detailed security permissions for almost every field and action. This gives you fine-grained control over what different user groups can view or do when creating or editing quotes.

Common permissions you can control include:

•Allow Cancel

•Approve Quote

•Below Cost Override

•Markup Override

•Change Price

•Change Date

•Allow Sell Below Cost

•Allow Below Minimum Markup

•Allow Above Maximum Discount

•And many more

You can configure these permissions per user group for maximum flexibility and control.

How to Access Quote Security Settings

1. Open any Quote form.

2. Click the Security Lock icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

3. The Quote Security window will open.

Configuring Permissions

•Select the user group you want to configure.

•Enable or disable specific permissions for that group.

Tip: Use the screenshots below as a visual reference for the available security options.

Hover the mouse over the different fields on the form. If the cursor changes to a hand () , click to get more information.

One-Time Below Cost Selling

If you want to allow a user to “Allow Sell Below Cost” only once (instead of permanently), use the temporary option:

Quote > Extra > Allow Sell Below Cost

This is useful for exceptional cases while maintaining tight overall control.
